Layer updated Dec 29th, 2021. Douglas County School Districts boundaries were updated using parcel tax district attributes and were validated by the school districts themselves. The School Districts that extend into Sarpy County were matched to the Sarpy County's School Districts layer. The School districts that extend into Washington and Dodge Counties where matched to the State's School Districts layer (school districts layer from State was received from OCIO office in early May). The Douglas County Clerk (Dan Esch) certified these boundaries and maps were sent to the DC Election Commission and each school district except for Gretna, Fremont, and Ft Calhoun, who did their certifications independently. The DC Election Commission certified the boundaries for OPS.
The layer was last updated on Feb 12, 2022 to make change to the MPS and OPS district boundaries, so that Boys two is split between two districts. The source/document for a split is a LB125, a map and shape file that accompanied that LB, provided by DC Election Commission.

This layer was derived from an Excel export from Omaha Planning (Stu Craven, P&I). The records in the Excel table were geocoded by Parcel_No using the Parcels feature class [PIN].
130 records from the Excel export did not match a parcel. The match was done between Parcel_No and PIN. Most likely, these permits belong to parcels that no longer exist.
After this result, an updated Parcels_Historic layer was used for georeferencing. This brought the match success rate up to 99.07% from 82.8%.
